What better way to celebrate, than to have your friends and family camping out for the weekend. Here at Dewslake Farm we cater for all kinds of groups from birthday parties and family gatherings to scouts, Duke of Edinburgh and sports groups.

Family Friendly Camping

Dewslake Farm is a family owned, family friendly campsite.

At Dewslake Farm there are plenty of open spaces for games and kite flying. Cars are not permitted to park on the fields which means that families can relax while the children run around.
For groups over 6 adults we do apply a group bond which is fully returnable on departure. This helps us keep the campsite fun for everyone.

Family Gatherings

We love seeing families get together here on the farm.  Watching grandparents playing with grandchildren, a family sitting around the fire with marshmallows and a cheeky glass of wine whilst the stresses of the outside world just melt away.  At Dewslake Farm there are plenty of open spaces for games and kite flying or rural tranquility. Cars are not permitted to park on the fields other than to help with arrivals or departures which means that families can relax while the children run around, make friends and enjoy the chance to be free.

Family Days Out

Pembrokeshire has a lots on offer with one of the simplest pleasures being a day at the seaside complete with picnic and we have some wonderful beaches a short drive away. Our nearest two, both lovely and safe for swimming, are Freshwater East and Manorbier or drive an extra mile or two and you can get to the world renowned Barafundle. Broad Haven near Bosherston with its beautiful lily pond walks and further along the coast Freshwater West a great expanse of beach well known for its surfing.

In The Heart Of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park

Great Location for Exploring Pembroke & Tenby

Dewslake nestled in open countryside overlooking the National Park and between the two historic and picturesque towns of Pembroke (about 3 miles) and Tenby (about 7 miles). The walled town of Tenby has two glorious beaches, picturesque architecture and boat trips to the monastic island of Caldey. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy too. Pembroke has its wonderfully impressive Castle which is worth a visit on its own but it also often plays host to family activity days Visit Pembroke Castle

Outdoor Activities

There are many activities for families in the area and Paddle West offer activities on site during the season. You can also go to The Pembrokeshire Outdoor Charter Group to find all sorts of activities with groups who have signed up to look after our wonderful county.

Guides, Scouts, Duke of Edinburgh & Youth Groups

Are you a member of an organisation? Do you organise a youth group?

Dewslake Farm is an ideal choice for your group’s next outdoor adventure. The site boasts more than twelve acres of grassy camping fields, plenty of space to accommodate  members of your organisation and the option to hire the whole site depending on time of year. We also have a large barn which is perfect for team building activities or communal dining on a rainy day. We rent fire pits and sell firewood on site so you can practice those fire starting skills and gather round the campfire.

Lamphey has cricket and football grounds for public use, great for hosting sporting events or matches.  Also a disabled access village hall for hire which can seat up to 120 people. The hall has a portable stage, multi-functional sound system, projector with drop down screen, Wi-fi, and a well-equipped kitchen. The village also has a parish church with a strong congregation and you can explore and discover the history behind the ruins of Bishops palace, a summer home for the bishops of St Davids.

Cycling or Climbing in Pembrokeshire?

The campsite at Dewslake farm is the perfect rest spot for cyclists, climbers and walkers alike.

The site boasts a pot wash with kettles and microwave, hot showers and a quiet atmosphere to make sure you have a restful stay before continuing on with your journey. Touring cyclists are spoilt for choice with the Sustrans Celtic Trail west or National Cycle Network (NCN) 4 and 47. The campsite is located on the national cycle route 4 which stretches for 432 miles from Greenwich, London all the way to Fishguard, North Pembrokeshire. See the route  Disused railway lines such as The Tramway near Saundersfoot and The Brunel trail between Pembroke and Haverfordwest include traffic free sections, making it perfect for families and young riders wanting to explore Pembrokeshire on two wheels.

Pembrokeshire also hosts the annual Ironman Wales event and the Long Course Wales weekend event. Renowned for being one of the toughest challenges in the world, the course includes a swim (2.4 miles), a bike ride (112 miles) and finally a run (26.2 miles)! Don’t worry if you decide not to compete, the cycling course takes place right outside our front gates.
