Terms & Conditions

Our aim at Dewslake Camping is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. However, we must ask that you read and accept the following terms and conditions which must be adhered to by all guests. This ensures we can maintain our standards and ensure your safety, as well as establishing a clear legal contract for cancellation, damage and exceptional circumstance.

Campfires are allowed but you must use a fire pit to protect the grass.

Please park in the designated parking area, there is no parking on the field.

We are a family campsite so we operate a “Quiet Time” between 10pm and 8am and there is no amplified music allowed on site.

Dogs are welcome but please keep them under control and clean up any mess and be aware of livestock in adjacent fields.

Please respect the communal areas, clean up any mess you make and try to leave as you would like to find them.

There are designated areas for rubbish and recycling, please make use of these and do not litter the campsite.

Please read our Terms & Conditions below.

All accommodation including camping pitches, bunkhouse cabins and bell tents are available from 3pm on the day of arrival. On departure all accommodation and pitches are to be left clean and tidy and vacated by 11am (unless we have agreed an extended check-out) to allow us time to change the bedding, tidy up and make it lovely for the next guests !

When you make a booking a booking confirmation email will be sent to you confirming the the of accommodation, dates, times and payment details of your holiday. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract.

Group Bookings:

Unlike some sites we don’t turn away hen parties or mixed groups, however we do ask that you respect the other guests and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if you are in breach of our camping rules (see above).

We require payment in full for all cabins and bell tents and all Electric and Non-Electric camping pitches (unless we have agreed otherwise). If you are paying by BACS or cheque you must put your surname and invoice number as the payment reference or we will not be able to trace the payment and you may be charged extra.

Cancellation & Refunds:

We realise sometimes plans change and if possible we will offer you alternative dates to suit both us and yourselves. If this is not possible we keep a 50% deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded. We recommend you take holiday cancellation insurance to cover any loss should we not be able to re-let. In the unlikely event that any of our accommodation is not available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, Dewslake Camping cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, but the full cost of the holiday will be refunded.

Age Policy:

As a general rule, we do not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18 without parental approval.

Please remember that the showers, toilets, and communal areas are shared, so we request you clean up after use and try to accommodate others’ usage. Please leave the kitchen, toilets and showers as you find them and let us know if there are any problems. We will empty the bins, clean the showers and toilets and take the recycling away daily. Please keep your pitch, cabin or bell tent clean and dispose of your litter in the bins and recycling facilities provided. Dirty pitches are ugly and litter kills wildlife.

You can’t beat cooking over an open fire but please make sure you leave all BBQs and fires outside even if you think it’s gone out. Carbon Monoxide is a deadly, invisible poison. Please put ash from the fires in the bins provided, we reuse it as fertiliser. We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.

Fire Policy:

We love camp fires and our grass. Please contain your campfires to the fire pits provided to avoid scorching the grass. You are responsible for any fire you light so please pay attention to it and don’t leave it unattended. Have a bucket of water handy just in case you set fire to yourselves or your stuff. Please put ash from the fires in the bins provided, we reuse it as fertiliser. Cwtch Camping cannot be held responsible if you set fire to yourself, your stuff or any one else.

Flames, hunting and Fireworks:

No firearms, hunting paraphernalia, fireworks or Chinese lanterns are permitted on the farm. No naked flames of any sort are permitted inside tents.

Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to the structure caused by negligence.

We love good music and welcome good musicians. We don’t allow any amplified music or loud revelling that disturbs our other guests and local residents. Quiet time is 10:00pm to 8:00am. It’s really important to us that other guests have a peaceful break and are shown respect and all need sleep for tomorrows adventures! Anyone committing a nuisance or disturbing the peace may be asked to leave immediately and without a refund.

No Smoking Policy:

All of our cabins and bell tents have a strictly No Smoking Policy. Anyone who smokes outdoors is responsible for disposing of their cigarette butts in a clean and tidy manner.

Dogs are welcome at both of our sites but please keep them under control and clean up any mess. Please be aware of livestock in adjacent fields.

Rubbish and Re-cycling:

We are passionate about recycling and would ask that you to comply by using our recycling facilities. Orange bags are for tin cans, plastic, paper and card (please rinse food containers first). DO NOT put glass in bin bags, it is dangerous. Please use a separate box or the glass bins provided.

Lost/Stolen Property:

Cwtch Camping cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Free car parking is available on site. Upon arrival, we will provide wheelbarrows to take your luggage to your pitch or cabin. Please drive slowly on site and park your cars in the car park not in the camping field unless you are a camper van.

Our site is part of a working farm so occasionally we have live stock in the surrounding fields. Please admire the livestock from your side of the fence and not theirs, Dewslake Camping can’t be held responsible for any accidents if you are in their field. We also ask that you don’t feed any of our livestock.
