What are the toilet and shower facilities like?
There is a ladies and gents toilet block with eleven toilets in total and there are 8 showers with individual changing areas. There is no extra charge for using them.
Can we bring our dog?
You can’t have all this open countryside and miles of beautiful coastline without sharing it with your best pal! We are a dog friendly campsite and like people friendly dogs.
How far is the site from the beach?
The closest beach, Freshwater West is 3 miles away and there are several other within 10 miles including Barafundle, Manorbier, Broad Haven South and Tenby to name a few.
Can we have a campfire?
Of course, camping wouldn’t be camping without a camp fire! Campfires are allowed in raised fire pits. There is a limited number of these for you to hire. Logs are available to buy on site.
Is the site accessible?
Dewslake Campsite is partially accessible, though we currently do not have wheelchair-accessible toilets or showers. We have submitted planning permission to improve this and hope to offer fully accessible facilities soon. The terrain on site is mainly a combination of gravel areas and grass with gentle slopes in places. We are an autism and ADHD friendly site, with personal experience in this area, we aim to provide a calm and understanding space for families. While we normally ask guests to park in the car park, if you need your vehicle beside your pitch for medical or disability reasons, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If there are any adjustments that would help you enjoy your camping adventure, please get in touch, we’ll always aim to be as flexible and supportive as possible
Campsite Rules
- We have many children on site so please drive slowly and with care. Only go onto the fields to load or unload unless you are in a camper.
- Fires are allowed but you must use a fire pit to protect the grass.
- We are a family campsite so we operate a “Low Level Noise Time” between 10pm and 8am and there is no amplified music allowed on site.
- Dogs are welcome but please keep them on leads in the camping fields and clean up any mess. Be aware of livestock in adjacent fields.
- There are designated areas for rubbish and recycling, please make use of these and do not litter the campsite or leave waste in the glamping units
- Any damage, staff call outs, customer complaints or the breaking of the rules will result in the loss of any group bond paid.
You must comply with the Welsh Government COVID guidelines, please familiarise yourself with them before your visit: https://gov.wales/coronavirus

We realise that sometimes plans change and if possible we will offer you alternative dates to suit both us and yourselves. If that is not possible we will apply the following:
- A cancellation up to 1 month before arrival = retained deposit
- A cancellation from 1 month to 1 week before arrival = 50% of booking cost
- A cancellation within 1 week of arrival = 100% of booking cost
We recommend you take holiday cancellation insurance to cover any loss. In the unlikely event that any of our accommodation is not available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, Dewslake Camping cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, but the full cost of the holiday will be refunded.
If we find an item on site or it gets handed in we will leave it for a few days on the seat outside the office if the item is perceived to be of low value. Items of a higher value will be held in the office for a few weeks and then all will be disposed of in an appropriate manner which can include being donated to a local charity shop.
