Terms & Conditions

Our aim at Dewslake Camping is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible whether you are enjoying the food in the on-site cafe or chilling out on one of our pitches. However, we ask that you read and accept the following terms and conditions which must be adhered to by all guests. This ensures we can maintain our standards and your safety, as well as establishing a clear legal contract for cancellation, damage and exceptional circumstance.

Covid Restrictions:

We apply and abide by all current regulations and guidance given by Welsh Government and expect our visitors to do the same.

Arrival/Departure:

All accommodation including camping pitches, bunkhouse cabins and bell tents are available from 3pm on the day of arrival. On departure all accommodation and pitches are to be left clean and tidy and vacated by 10am (unless we have agreed an extended check-out) to allow us time to change the bedding, tidy up and make it lovely for the next guests

Booking:

When you make a booking, a confirmation email will be sent to you outlining details of accommodation, dates, times and payment of your holiday. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract.

Group Bookings:

Unlike some sites we don’t turn away groups, however we do ask that you respect the other guests and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if you are in breach of our camping rules. Please make us aware if you are a group of more than 6 adults.  We do apply a returnable bond for groups in case of damage or evening call outs.

Payment:

We require payment in full for all accommodation and pitches 30 days before arrival. A 30% deposit is due at the point of booking, the booking system will store your payment details and take the remaining balance automatically 30 days before arrival. If you wish to make payment with an alternative method please contact us directly.

Cancellation & Refunds:

We realise that sometimes plans change and if possible we will offer you alternative dates to suit both us and yourselves. If that is not possible we will apply the following:

A cancellation up to 1 month before arrival = retained deposit (30% of total booking cost)

A cancellation from 1 month to 1 week before arrival = 50% of booking cost

A cancellation within 1 week of arrival = 100% of booking cost

We recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover any loss from unexpected events or illness.

If our accommodation is not available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, Dewslake Camping cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, but the full cost of the holiday accommodation will be refunded.

Age Policy:

As a general rule,we do not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18 without parental approval.

Cleaning:

Please remember that the showers, toilets, and communal areas are shared, so we request you clean up after use and try to accommodate others. Please leave the kitchen, toilets and showers as you find them and let us know if there are any problems. We clean the kitchen, showers and toilets regularly and take the recycling away. Please keep your pitch, cabin or bell tent clean and dispose of your litter in the bins and recycling facilities provided. Dirty pitches are ugly and litter kills wildlife.

Barbecues:

You can’t beat cooking over an open fire but please make sure you leave all BBQs and fires outside even if you think it’s gone out. Carbon Monoxide is a deadly, invisible poison. Please put ash from the fires in the metal bins provided, we reuse it as fertiliser. We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.

Fire Policy:

We love campfires and our grass. Please contain your campfires in fire pits to avoid scorching the grass. You are responsible for any fire you light so please pay attention to it and don’t leave it unattended. Have a bucket of water handy just in case you set fire to yourselves or your stuff. Please put ash from the fires in the metal bins provided, we reuse it as fertiliser. Dewslake Camping cannot be held responsible if you set fire to yourself, your stuff or any one else.

Flames, hunting and Fireworks:

No firearms, hunting paraphernalia, fireworks or Chinese lanterns are permitted on the farm. No naked flames of any sort are permitted inside tents.

Negligence:

Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to our structures, land or fences caused by negligence and may be charged to replace or repair any item.

Noise:

We love good music and welcome good musicians but we don’t allow any amplified music (this includes any music played through a speaker or phone) or loud revelling that disturbs other guests and local residents. Low level noise time is 10:00pm to 8:00am. It’s really important to us that all our guests have a peaceful break and are shown respect.  Everyone needs sleep for tomorrow’s adventures! Anyone committing a nuisance or disturbing the peace may be asked to leave immediately and without a refund, including any group bond.

No Smoking Policy:

All of our buildings, including cabins and bell tents have a strict No Smoking Policy. Anyone who smokes outdoors is responsible for disposing of their cigarette butts in a clean and tidy manner.

Pets:

Dogs are welcome but please keep them under control and on leads in the camping fields and clean up any mess. Please be aware of livestock in adjacent fields.

Rubbish and Recycling:

We are passionate about recycling but really need your help by using our recycling facilities for tin cans, plastic, paper and card (please rinse food containers first). DO NOT put glass in bin bags, it is dangerous. Please use the separate bin provided.

Lost/Stolen Property:

Dewslake Camping cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.  We often get items handed in which if they are of low value will be outside the office for a few days or more valuable items are held safe.  Items not claimed or if we are not able to find the owner within a few days are put into the charity box to raise funds for Ty Hafan and other charities or recycled if appropriate.

Unloading:

Free car parking is available on site. Please drive slowly on site, many children are playing. You may take your vehicle to your pitch to unload but then please return it to the carpark, unless of course, you are a campervan!

Livestock

Our site is part of a working farm so occasionally we have livestock in the surrounding fields. Please admire the livestock from your side of the fence and not theirs, Dewslake Camping can’t be held responsible for any accidents if you are in their field. We also ask that you don’t feed any of our livestock or allow your dogs to get close.
