Dewslake’s Naked Bell Tents:Glamping Minus The Kit!
Our Naked Bell Tents are exactly what they sound like: a beautiful, spacious 5‑metre bell tent… wearing absolutely nothing except a sturdy ground mat.
Think of it as camping in its purest form – or glamping that’s forgotten to get dressed.

What is a Naked Bell Tent?
A Naked Bell Tent is a ready‑pitched 5‑metre bell tent waiting for you when you arrive. No poles to argue with, no pegs to lose, no dramatic moments where someone says, “I think it goes this way?”
It’s very similar to our glamping bell tents, just without the furniture, beds, fairy lights or cosy extras. You bring your own sleeping arrangements, bedding and camping comforts – we provide the tent and the peace of mind that it’s already standing up.
In short: all the shelter, none of the faff.
How does it work?
- Book your camping, electric (don’t forget your hook-up cable) or non-electric as you prefer and the usual price per person.
- Add a Naked Bell Tent for £60 per stay – for one night or up to a week the price stays the same! The tents are five meters in diameter. You can comfortably fit 1 – 6 people in depending on how cosy you want to get. Make sure you have booked camping for each person staying.
- Arrive to find your tent already set up and waiting
The tent comes with a ground mat only, so you’ll need to bring your own bed, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, torches and any other home comforts you consider essential.
Availability is limited, so Naked Bell Tents must be booked directly with us – they’re not available through the online booking system.

Who are they perfect for?
- No tent? No problem. Ideal if you don’t own a tent and don’t fancy buying one just yet.
- Camping first – a gentle introduction without the stress of pitching.
- The stress – if the phrase “instructions included” fills you with dread, this is for you.
- Spontaneous campers. Fewer things to pack, fewer things to forget.
- Anyone who likes an easy life. No judgement here.
Is it still proper camping?
Absolutely. You’ll still be sleeping under canvas, waking up to birdsong, and wondering why the kettle takes so long on a camping stove. You just won’t be crawling around the grass trying to work out which pole goes where.
It’s camping with a head start – and frankly, we all deserve one sometimes.

How to book
Naked Bell Tents can be added to your camping booking for £60 per stay, subject to availability. To book one, please contact us directly and we’ll sort the rest.
So if you like the idea of camping, but not the idea of erecting a tent after a long journey, Dewslake’s Naked Bell Tents might just be your perfect match. Decent canvas. No drama. Entirely family‑friendly.
Just don’t forget your bed.

Sussex Bell Tents
We thought this would also be a good time to mention that we’ve been using Sussex Bell Tents for all of our bell tents at Dewslake for the past few years and have been really impressed. They’re great quality, durable, and cope brilliantly with the realities of campsite life. On top of that, their customer service has always been spot on – friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. We’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for bell tents that are made to last.
