Pembrokeshire is a great place to be in the summertime. With ample countryside and a beautiful coastline we have a wealth of choice for fresh produce, meats and seafood.
We’ve put together some of our top picks for where you can find the best local produce. So, whether you’re bbqing on site or dining down at the beach you can get a real taste of Pembrokeshire.
Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company’s trailer is situated down at Freshwater West beach from April through to October. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you tuck in to one of their delicious lobster or crab rolls. Everything is served in a delicious crusty roll and slathered in welsh black seaweed butter. This is food not to be eaten delicately. It deserves to be whole heartedly gorged. Seaweed connoisseurs, Beach Food know their stuff when it comes to seasoning. Pick up and take home some of their deli products. Welshman’s caviar and Mermaid confetti are available to buy along with their moreish Ship’s Biscuits.
Slow Pig
Broad Haven beach is always popular over the summer months and now there’s even more reason to visit with Slow Pig taking residency there until October. The chorizo, salami and delicious nduja they use is made from pigs reared on their own farm in Pembrokeshire. A refreshing and colourful choice of salads using fresh vegetables and fruits are also available along with ice-creams.
Slow Pig are also available for wedding and event catering with their vintage Citroen H van and will be at various food festivals around the country. They’re often spotted feeding campers at our Dewslake Farm site too.

Not only do you get to catch and eat your own Pembrokeshire mackerel you get a truly great day out on the boat. There are amazing views of Tenby and Caldey Island from out at sea when it’s clear. The trips are enjoyable for adults and children alike and if you bring a cool box you can take your catches home. Delicious cooked on the BBQ with some Pembrokeshire new potatoes on the side.
Fishing trips run daily from Tenby or Saundersfoot and are around £15 per person.
Nash Farm
We buy all of the meat for our BBQ hampers here. Located just off the main road a great place to pop in and pick up your BBQ feasts. They supply meats, seasonal vegetables and condiments. All of the meat is from their own farm so is completely free range. They also have a butcher on hand 6 days a week to help you select the best cuts. The onsite cafe is also a great place to grab some lunch or a slice of homemade cake.
Decadent marmalades, rich honeys and golden maple syrups which are made locally along the Daugleddau Estuary. They have a variety of marmalade blends to delight any palate. Slathered over hot buttered toast, they really are divine. The family uses traditional breeding and beekeeping methods to make sure their products are the highest quality and their bees are healthy and strong. Mainly ingredients are sourced from their hives in Pembrokeshire but they also have a Sicilian collection which includes blends using Sicilian Lemons and an Olive Oil. Their selection ensures products are of the highest quality and flavour. Grown in outstanding landscapes and environments.
